Job description: 24-112 Billing AdministratorAssociated AmbulanceAssociated Ambulance, Alberta’s largest contracted provider of rural ambulance services, proudly serves and supports 24 communities. We are seeking a professional, energetic, and self-motivated Billing Administrator to join our ambulance billing department.About the RoleThe ideal candidate is a client-focused, highly professional self-starter with strong analytical skills. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines are essential. This role requires high-level judgment and organizational skills to manage workloads and projects efficiently.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely client billings, including monthly invoices and special billings.
- Manage collections and follow up with customers regarding payments.
- Issue invoices and account summaries.
- Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliation.
- Address billing questions from customers, managers, or key stakeholders.
- Handle record management, filing, mail processing, and related administrative tasks.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Self-motivated, well-organized, results-oriented team player capable of managing multiple demands in a busy environment.
- Strong customer service skills and data entry experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a computerized accounting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in accounts receivable and medical billing.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential health information.
- Familiarity with medical records management.
- Prior experience working in an administrative office environment.
Salary & BenefitsCompensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The starting salary range is $47,000 to $51,000 annually.Start Date: February 1, 2025Hours of Work: 0800-1600Additional InformationThe successful candidate will handle confidential health information and create invoices for our clients.This is a full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) based out of our Acheson office.
