Job description: Job Description:We are looking for a skilled General Accountant to join our client’s team located in the Middlesex County, Ontario. In this role, you will oversee a range of accounting activities, including journal entries, financial planning, and cash flow management. Your expertise will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting decision-making, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries while managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.

• Perform account reconciliations and oversee job costing processes, including monitoring project expenses and profitability.

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis to support financial planning.

• Analyze cash flow trends, plan payments, and manage working capital ratios to maintain financial stability.

• Conduct bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies between bank statements and accounting records.

• Provide insights and support to facility management to aid in business decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with established accounting standards and practices.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyze financial data and generate reports.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in accounting; an accounting designation is considered an asset.

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within and outside the organization.

• Self-motivated with a proven ability to solve problems independently and resolve issues efficiently.

• Experience with account reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.

• Knowledge of job costing and financial variance analysis.

Expected salary: $60000 – 70000 per year
