Job description: Job Description:We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. As an Accountant, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records and resolving any customer inquiries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.Responsibilities:
- Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
- Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
- Provide administrative support and office management as needed
- Handle full cycle QuickBooks (Pro) data entry/calculations and job costing.
- Manage invoicing, payroll, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank reconciliations and deposits, WSIB reporting, and all Government Filing
- Maintain current job status reports
- Collaborate with other office staff to maintain office supplies and ensure office, IT and equipment are maintained
- Carry out other duties as needed including clerical support and office administration.
Requirements:
- Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
- Experience in Billing and Data Entry is essential.
- Familiarity with Invoice Processing is a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is necessary.
- Experience in handling Canadian Payroll is desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
- High-level understanding of business operations and processes.
- Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial and payroll information.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
Expected salary: $60000 – 65000 per year
