We invite you to be a part of their exciting journey.As an integral part of our finance team, the Accountant will report directly to the Controller, playing a pivotal role in executing critical bookkeeping and accounting functions. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, rapidly scaling environment and has experience in a food & beverage wholesale, retail or related industry.Job responsibilities include:

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including receipts, disbursements, billing, and general ledger entries.
  • Process accounts payable invoices accurately and issue payments in a timely manner.
  • Preparing customer invoicing and managing accounts receivables and incoming payments promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations and reports to support financial reports.
  • Ensure month, quarter, and year-end closing processes are executed promptly and accurately to facilitate precise financial reporting.
  • Preparation and processing of payroll and employee benefits and employee expense claims and reimbursements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of government remittances and reporting.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with operations, sales and other departments across the organization to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information.
  • Contribute to the implementation of finance technology initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Create & maintain training manuals and documentation for all financial processes and systems.
  • Create and maintain organized office files, reports, and documentation related to financial activities.
  • Perform additional bookkeeping or data entry tasks as needed.
  • Support year-end reporting activities by preparing necessary documentation and providing information to external accountants.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting roles, ideally within a fast-paced, growth-oriented company.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
