Job description: This employment opportunity is open only to Canadian citizens, to landed immigrants in Canada, or to foreign nationals who are legally authorized to work in Canada.Your mission:Reporting to the Finance Director, the Accountant is responsible for day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting accurate and timely financial information to assist in business decision-making.

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support external audit and compliance processes by providing necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare and file relevant tax and regulatory filings (e.g., GST, PST, payroll remittances).
• Support inventory and fixed asset accounting processes.
• Perform other finance-related duties as required.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program is considered an asset.
• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with SAP is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
