In this Accountant role in Mississauga, you will be responsible for the following:
– Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
– Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
– Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
– Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payment processing.
– Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
– Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations.
– Track and analyze logistics and operational costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
– Support pricing and cost estimation processes for new and existing contracts.
– Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
– Prepare for and support internal and external audits.
– Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure timely filing.
– Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations affecting the logistics industry.
– Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions.
– Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this Accountant role located in Mississauga:
– Minimum 3 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function
– A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting.
– Experience working with common accounting systems/ERPs is a requirement.
– Strong reconciliation experience is a requirement.Summary
