Job description: Job Description:Our client in Calgary is seeking a skilled contract Accountant to support financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and system improvements. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, forecasts, and cash flow reports
• Analyze trends, variances, and financial drivers; present findings to stakeholders
• Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and ledger maintenance
• Support budgeting, rolling forecasts, and financial modeling
• Ensure compliance with grant reporting and filings
• Improve dashboards and automate reporting using tools like FinancialForce, Tableau, and Excel
• Provide training and support on financial systems and processes
• Ad-hoc duties as requested

Requirements:Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and financial analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent an asset
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office; Salesforce/Certinia experience is a plus
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities with attention to detail
• Available to start immediately
