Job description: Job Description:Our Canadian Government/Crown Corporation client is looking for an Accountant. Candidates who are earlier in their careers are encouraged to apply.Job Responsibilities:

• Data entry for financial transactions, contract financial administration, general ledger entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc.
• Analyzing the accuracy and reliability of financial information.
• Providing relevant, timely, and detailed financial processing and project accounting support.
• Managing and reporting monthly GST rebates and quarterly GST remittances.
• Processing contractor invoices, employee travel claims, and company credit transactions.
• Ensuring consistent application of accounting and financial services.
• Preparing and updating summary of contractor expenses for WCB reporting and payment.

• Minimum of 1-year post-secondary education in a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• CPA or CMA student status is preferred.
• Experience in Public Sector Accounting.
• Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and MS Office Suite.
