Job description: Volta Energy Solutions Canada, a leader in the copper foil production, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our vibrant team. As a Junior Accountant at Volta, you’ll play a key role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to our mission of driving sustainable energy solutions. To fulfill the responsibilities and tasks associated to this position, you will also be called to work from both the offices of Brossard and the future factory in Granby.If you’re eager to develop your accounting skills in a fast-paced environment and be part of a company committed to making a positive impact on the world, we want to hear from you!Role and responsibilities

• Recording journal entries on SAP (based on IFRS)
• Reporting monthly financial statements to HQ
• Fill out footnotes in quarter-end closing package
• Categorizing CoA (Chart of Account) for transaction
• Report intercompany transactions to HQ
• Making supporting documents in A/R, A/P
• Using SAP FI module for document approval
• Filing sales tax return
• Assisting with sales tax audit by local tax authority
• Assisting with accounting audit (statutory audit) and quarterly review
• Participating in many SAP projects related to module integration
• Any other accounting-related tasks

Requirements

• Diploma in business Administration/Finance or in accounting
• Minimum of 1 work experience in as similar position
• Experience for various kinds of transactions to book by CoA (Chart of Account)
• Experience for monthly closing to make financial statements (Profit/Loss statement, Balance Sheet)
• Experience for intercompany transactions with other subsidiaries
• Good knowledge of SAP
• Good knowledge of general accounting principles and IFRS
• Basic knowledge of cost accounting using IFRS
• Basic knowledge of Canada/Quebec tax law
• Experience with using SAP ERP (FI, CO module) (Asset)
• Experience in tax declarations (Asset)
