Be on the industry leading edge with us and help shape our world for years to come.Under the direction and leadership of the Senior Manager Consolidation & Systems we are seeking an Accountant, Consolidation & Systems, to join our Public Company Reporting team.This position presents a unique opportunity to learn, understand and contribute to accounting, consolidation and reporting in a head office environment, and will be of interest to individuals who are looking to strengthen their consolidation, accounting systems skills and gain exposure to the diverse companies within the ATCO Group.What You Get To Do:

• Assist in preparation of financial consolidations for ATCO which consists of

• prepare consolidation calculations, journal entries and key reconciliations
• resolve intercompany elimination variances at the consolidated level
• deal with foreign operations from local currency to reporting currency
• ensure consistency of financial results across business units through analytical review
• investigate and problem solve issues as they arise during the consolidation process
• Support the preparation of consolidation working papers, financial statements and notes and other statutory disclosures for three public companies
• Lead the intercompany process at the consolidation level
• Liaise with business unit representatives and external auditors as needed
• Assist in the system administration of the consolidation system which includes ensuring integrity of the data, account maintenance, updating company hierarchies and account changes in response to changes in the business and maintaining log of all changes
• Develop your expertise to become a subject matter expert; act as a key participant in system upgrades and enhancements, system testing
• Deliver training of end business users in using the consolidation system
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Prepare stand-alone financial statements and notes for various ATCO companies under international financial reporting standards
• Participate in special accounting projects; assist in the implementation of new standards or changes to existing standards

Who You Are:

• Bachelor of Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Working towards a professional accounting designation having passed the CFE along with minimum 3-5 years accounting experience
• Awareness of IFRS and an ability to research accounting issues
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Roll up your sleeves attitude to take initiative to identify problems and facilitate problem resolution
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills and application (pivot tables, formulas, ad-hoc reporting etc.)
• Experience working with a consolidation system, preferably Financial Consolidation and Close Service (FCCS) and / or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred
• Experience with Oracle Smart View ad hocs preferred
• Requirement for periodic extension beyond the normal work hours to achieve critical deadlines
