Location: Vancouver, BC (Client based in Richmond)
Remote: Fully remote (occasional requirement to visit Richmond office 1-2x a week for a few hours)
Contract Duration: 6 months with potential to go permanentWork Hours:
5:00am – 9:00am (PDT) / 1:00pm – 5:00pm (UK time) – work with the UK team
9:00am – 1:00pm (PDT) – work with the CAD team here in the office
Total daily hours from 5:00AM – 1:00PM (8 hour shifts)Our client in Richmond is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join their team on a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent placement. This position is fully remote, with a requirement to visit the Richmond office 1-2x per week. The ideal candidate will have significant accounting experience from the EU/UK area, which is a non-negotiable requirement.Advantages

– Reporting to senior leadershipResponsibilities
– Perform daily accounting tasks and maintain accurate financial records.
– Collaborate with two accountants based in the UK to ensure seamless financial operations.
– Report to the local CFO in BC, providing regular updates and financial reports.
– Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
– Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
– Support the local and UK teams in various accounting projects and initiatives.Qualifications
– Must have at least 1 full year of experience working as an accountant in the UK.
– Proven ability to manage accounting functions independently and effectively.
– Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and practices.
– Knowledge of local accounting principles and practices.
– Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with remote teams.
– Must be based in British Columbia.Summary
