Job description: Job Description:We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Entry-Level Accountant in the manufacturing industry. The role is based in Durham region , Ontario, Canada. As an Entry-Level Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial records, processing customer applications, and resolving customer inquiries.Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications and manage accounts

• Maintain and update customer credit records

• Conduct full cycle accounting duties including account analysis, account reconciliation, and account coding

• Handle billing and invoicing tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP solutions for data entry and account management

• Implement and adhere to established accounting processes and procedures

• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel for account management, including the use of pivot tables and v lookups

• Be cross-trained in all accounting functions for versatility and efficiency

• Use Sage 100 and be ready to transition to accumatica in the future

• Participate in daily meetings and be prepared to work before standard office hours start.

Requirements:

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of one year experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP solutions, such as Sage 100.

• Demonstrated skills in account coding, account analysis, and account reconciliation.

• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data entry and accounting tasks.

• Good communication skills for presenting financial information clearly.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve financial objectives.

• Willingness to continue learning and adapting to new accounting practices and technologies.

Expected salary: $19.79 – 22.91 per hour
