Job description: Job Description:Our client in Calgary is seeking an Entry-Level Contract Accountant to support month-end close, audit prep, and accounting projects.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations
• Support financial audits with reports and inquiries
• Manage capital spending tracking and improve month-end close
• Process payments, reconcile supplier statements, and maintain AP aging
• Review, code, and post invoices; assist with full-cycle AP/AR
• Reconcile AR/AP sub-ledgers to general ledger monthly
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
• Prepare capital reports, fixed asset reconciliations, and annual financial reports
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and finance projects
• Ad-hoc duties as requested

Requirements:Requirements:

• 2+ years’ accounting experience, preferably in oil & gas or construction
• Degree or diploma in Finance or Accounting
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of payroll and tax rules is a plus
• Familiarity with accounting software an asset
• Available to start immediately
