Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting & Accounting, you will assist with fulfilling the requirements of the company’s internal and external financial reporting and accounting functions collaboratively with internal business groups. This role provides a unique opportunity for building relationships throughout the organization.Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely schedules supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Prepare journal entries, with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Complete account analyses and reconciliations, as required.
- Prepare and analyze monthly management reporting packages.
- Prepare regulatory schedules.
- Prepare supporting documentation to assist with the external audit process.
- Seek opportunities for efficiencies and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Professional accounting designation
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant financial reporting or audit experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Ability to complete tasks and responsibilities within established deadlines
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Power BI)
- Experience with Oracle Fusion cloud and/or an ERP system implementation project would be considered an asset
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
