Job description: Job Description:Our Calgary-based client is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant II for a contract role. This position supports financial reporting, analysis, and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, while also assisting with cash and intercompany processes.Key Responsibilities:
- Handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close tasks
- Collaborate with the team by providing accurate data for reporting, planning, and analysis
- Support cash and intercompany teams, including reviewing and approving journal entries
- Collaborate with Technical Accounting on reporting issues
- Assist with financial analysis and reporting tools
- Contribute to special projects and ad hoc tasks
Requirements:Qualifications:
- 3+ years of financial accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred
- Public accounting or internal audit experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Skilled in consolidations and financial analysis
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and a strong communicator
- Available to start immediately
