Join us today as we are currently hiring an Accountant – Maintenance based in Dartmouth, NS.Core Job Functions:
- Reconciling, analyzing and maintaining various GL accounts and subledgers
- Preparation and distribution of the monthly financial statements for Seaboard Garage and Maintenance
- Preparation of analytical working papers including Daily Cost Tracking, monthly accrual preparations and Journal Entries
- Assisting with various accounting projects and initiatives as requested
- Providing ad hoc reports and support to managers as requested
- Assisting with yearly audit and budget preparation as required
Job Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in a related field
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proven ability to deal proactively and professionally with internal and external customers
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills required
- High level of motivation and energy
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Working towards completion of CPA designation an asset
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Effectively manage priorities and meet deadlines
