Job description: Accounting AnalystOur client is searching for an Accounting Analyst to join their team. This role will largely focus within the Accounts Receivable function of the business and will provide opportunities to collaborate as a team member and work independently. This role reports to the Accounting Manager.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying and posting Accounts Receivable data
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities
• Communicate with customers to address inquiries and resolve billing issues
• Prepare month end journal entries for reporting purposes
• Complete bank reconciliations on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Reconcile, explain and collaborate with the finance team on balance sheet particulars
• Cross train on health care billing and accounts payable processes to ensure continuity within the department
• Assist when team members are absent or working on other tasks
• Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager to appropriately manage the financial and accounting division of the organization

Your strengths include:

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, or an equivalent
• 3+ years of Accounting experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Previous health care billing experience is an asset
• Previous experience with Great Plains and Business Central is an asset
