Join our dynamic team and help us bring adventure to life!About the Role:We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist who has a passion for detail. You will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and efficiently, in line with company policies and procedures. This role also supports cost tracking and procurement processes, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.What You’ll Do:Expense Management:

• Charge expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices, expense reports, and credit card charges, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Payment Processing:

• Process outgoing payments promptly in accordance with financial policies and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.

Accounts Receivable:

• Ensure timely and accurate collection of payments from customers.
• Daily posting of cash receipts.
• Contact (phone and email) past due customers for collections on a weekly basis.
• Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or disputes in a professional and timely manner.

Sales Commission & Royalty Payments:

• Produce monthly sales commission reports and communicate findings to Sales Representatives.
• Issue quarterly royalty payments, ensuring they are processed accurately and on schedule.

Credit Card Reconciliation:

• Reconcile credit card transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

Cost Tracking & Functional Area Support:

• Provide support to functional areas by tracking and controlling costs, ensuring transparency and effective financial management.

Month-End Assistance:

• Assist with month-end duties, ensuring accurate reporting and closing of financial periods.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations: Mastercard, prepaid, fixed assets, accrual accounts, inter-company invoicing, AMEX.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly tax reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in AP/AR and all types of accounts reconciliation and internal controls.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related discipline preferred.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE, Qlik) is an asset.
• Familiarity with month-end processes and cost tracking methodologies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
