Job description: Job Description:Our client in Calgary is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join their team on a contract basis. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards. Your responsibilities will include managing various accounting tasks, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.Key Responsibilities:

• Process and record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are addressed promptly.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
• Support the accounting team with audits, tax filings, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data exchange.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management.
• Perform other accounting duties and support as required.

Requirements:Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role.
• Post-secondary education in related field.
• Automotive industry experience is a significant asset.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Available to start immediately.
