Job description: Job Description:Our Calgary-based client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a contract role. The ideal candidate will support daily accounting operations with a focus on deposits, accounts payable, data entry, and reconciliation tasks.Key Responsibilities:
- Enter deposits from cheques and online systems
- Reconcile deposit data and match to bank transactions
- Export data from Excel and import into accounting systems
- Enter manual cheques and export to accounting
- Process and code invoices (mail and email)
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Organize and digitize file records
- Support accounting needs for various programs
- Assist with special projects, including gathering and managing contracts
Requirements:Qualifications:
- Experience working in a computerized environment (Excel, CRM, accounting software)
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge (Accounting 101 level: understanding of debits/credits)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Available to start immediately
