Job description: Job Description:Our Vancouver client (bordering Burnaby) is looking for an Accounting Manager for a 15 month contract for their established, high functioning organization. Under the the guidance and mentorship of the Controller and CFO, the Accounting Manger will be responsible for leading and mentoring the accounting team (2 direct reports), providing guidance and support to foster professional development and teamwork. The Accounting Manager will also take responsibility for leading the annual budget process, monitor budgets and cash flows to ensure we are on track while identifying variances as well as reviewing the financials statements generated by the Senior Accountant for 15 entities within the group. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.Requirements:The successful Accounting Manager will have 6+ years of progressive hands on experience and be in possession of their CPA designation. In an ideal world you have both public practice and industry experience, but this is not requisite to be considered. A positive attitude, a high EQ and a strong desire to mentor and develop people, strong MS Excel skills, and experience using and ERP system, however, are required. Expected salary: $110000 – 130000 per year
