Job description: Accounting Manager ConsultantOur client is seeking an immediate start for an Accounting Manager Consultant to join their construction team in Calgary. The role is contract to start and client is looking for a permanent solution so opportunity for the right candidate. This role could also be performed in 3-4 days for someone with the right level of experience.Your success will be defined by your ability to:

• Ensuring full-cycle accounting is done on a monthly basis
• Maintain capital asset records
• Training and development of 4 direct reports
• Providing insightful Management Reports as well as making improvements there on
• Manage treasury including multiple bank accounts
• Manage AP and AR
• Approve outgoing cash
• Review semi-monthly payroll
• Ensure CRA filings are accurate and up to date
• Assist with WCB filing
• Review OH expenses
• Ensure accurate billable rates are flowing into Job Costs
• Ad-hoc analysis and tasks as called upon

Your strengths include:

• Bachelor’s degree and CPA
• Experience with Sage 300 is considered an asset
• Team player
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
