Job description: Accounting Manager (Contract)Our client is on the search for an Accounting Manager to join their team! The successful candidate will demonstrate both strong technical and communication abilities. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee the month end reporting packages, prepare variance analysis for business unit leaders, and ensure timeliness/compliance of all reporting obligations. • Be hands-on with the preparation of monthly financial reporting package.
• Prepare corporate accounting reconciliation and other month-end related functions
• Perform variance analysis on results and discuss with business unit leaders.
• Provide oversight to Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable leads.
• Assist with process improvement, special projects, and other tasks as required.

Your strengths include:

• CPA designation is preferred
• Strong technical accounting and Excel skills
• Self starting hands-on personality
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with construction and job costing is an asset
