Job description: Under the supervision of the Chief Accountant, the incumbent is responsible for various activities related to the processing, monitoring, validation and control of accounting transactions. The incumbent supports the financial disclosure and payroll teams. He/she also ensures the application of the procedures and policies put in place in order to ensure the quality and accuracy of transaction control.Carry out the reconciliation of accounting operations and ensure quality control
- Coordinate transactions and prepare accounting entries according to current standards
- Reconcile accounting items under his/her responsibility and provide relevant documentation and explanations
- Reconcile expenses according to the budget
Participate in the production and updating of financial reports and other documents
- Participate in the preparation of APM financial statements by ensuring the completeness of financial data
- Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for various government agencies
- Prepare various reports for internal use
Control and audit matrix
- Review financial transactions under his/her responsibility to detect errors, anomalies and ensure that everything is documented and recorded according to accounting standards
- Participate in audits by providing the necessary documents and information
Act as a resource person
- Replace the Payroll technician during his absences (vacation or other), as needed
- Help provide explanations to questions related to his expertise with internal and external clients
- Verify the application of internal controls and delegation of authority
- Participate in updating policies and procedures

Qualifications
- University certificate in accounting or college diploma specializing in accounting or any other related field;
- Possess three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience;
- Mastery of the Office suite (including Excel and Access at expert level);
- Knowledge of financial management systems and ERP (SAP), an asset;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Ability to navigate in the abstract;
- Concern for confidentiality and integrity in the processing of the company’s financial information;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines;
- Focused on optimization and solution-finding;
- Fluency in French and English (spoken and written);
