Job description: Job Description:We are offering an exciting opportunity in the Oil & Gas industry in Calgary, Alberta for an Accounts Payable Admin. As an Accounts Payable Admin, your role will be centered around processing and recording vendor invoices, maintaining relationships with key vendors, and performing general accounting functions.Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with key vendors to ensure seamless communication regarding invoice discrepancies, payment schedules, and contract terms
- Conduct thorough reviews and recording of vendor invoices using accounting software tools
- Prepare and execute weekly EFT and cheque payment runs
- Perform a variety of general accounting tasks, including the drafting of journal entries
- Reconcile vendor statements and take initiative to resolve any discrepancies that arise
- Collaborate with different teams to address missing or inaccurate invoice information
- Reconcile the Accounts Payable sub-ledger
- Contribute to the continuous refinement of business processes, projects, and systems
- Generate detailed reports focusing on accounts payable aging, outstanding balances, and coding-related issues
- Assist with audit requests when required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the Oil & Gas industry
- Proficiency in account reconciliation procedures
- Demonstrated expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) management
- Experience in executing check runs
- Ability to accurately code invoices
- Proficient in data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Experience in invoice processing and management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting
- Familiarity with Open Invoice
Expected salary: $55000 – 65000 per year
