Job description: Job DescriptionOur client in the property management and construction industry is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for their professional and cohesive team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is a permanent role within their growing team ideal for a team player with a go-getter work ethic.Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Process accounts payable
- Match invoices with purchase orders and packing slips
- Obtain coding approvals
- Perform cheque and payment runs
- Account reconciliations
- Set up new vendors and maintain up to date vendor information
- Spreadsheet invoice and payment tracking
- Provide backup reception
- Other project support duties as assigned
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, and/or payroll; or equivalent training/hands-on experience
- Minimum 1 – 2 years experience in a similar multifunctional role, ideally within the property management or construction industry
- Software proficiency with the ability to learn new systems efficiently. Prior experience with Rent Manager is a strong asset
- Organized and highly reliable team player who takes pride in their work & team
- Motivated work ethic with a willingness to continually learn and grow
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
