Job description: Description :BURNCO has an amazing career opportunity for entry level Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a part time position for career-minded students/individuals who would like to build their careers in corporate finance. As one of our Accounts Payable Clerks you will be chiefly responsible for timely and accurate input of data into our various accounting systems including Oracle. Reporting to our Manager, Accounts Payable, you will be trained and based out of our Calgary, Alberta corporate head office. We are a very busy, action-oriented team, so the individuals we are looking for must be office savvy, dependable, conscientious and committed to complete building their careers with BURNCO.NOTE: Please be advised that this role is available as a fixed term from January 15th, 2025, to April 30th, 2025 (24 hours per week).WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Training on our processes and systems
  • Accurately performing high volume data entry daily
  • Performing quality assurance on your work and the data, bringing attention to discrepancies if necessary
  • Tracking and basic reporting on the data entry you’ve completed.
  • Ad hoc duties as required.

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU

  • Committed, reliable and positive team player with some previous office, administration or data entry experience.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience with high volume critical data input environment and the pressures involved.
  • An accurate and high keystroke per hour ability, with a drive for efficiency and timeliness
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stay focused on daily routine to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal – with an innate curiosity about the work you’re doing.
  • Comfortable with working on data and around shared digital office networks and filing systems.
  • Exposure to Oracle and/or accounting systems would be an asset but not necessary (we will train)
  • Good Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
