We are based in Stony Plain (20 minutes west of Edmonton) and may require working out of town approximately 50% of the time, as well as occasional night shifts. As a Labourer you will be responsible to comply with safe work procedures and practices while you contribute to the teams road marking projects. Versatility, flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude are required in this position. Your responsibility is to provide support to the Construction Division in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.Why You Should Join Our Team

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED an asset
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 5) with a recent commercial drivers abstract
  • Must own reliable transportation (no public transit in Acheson)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform manual labour (ability to lift up to 40kg/90lbs)
  • Willing to work out of town occasionally, for up to 2 weeks at a time (Work in AB, BC, SK, YT, NWT & MB)
  • Willing to work occasional night shifts
  • Construction experience is an asset
  • Experience with safety regulations and safe practices is an asset
  • Ability to work in uncertain outdoor conditions
  • Ability to work overtime hours
  • Ability to comply with our Drug and Alcohol Policy, including a no tolerance policy on Cannabis use
