Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, the HR Administrative Assistant will support the HR department with a wide range of administrative tasks to keep the team running smoothly and efficiently. If you like variety in your day to day, have great organizational skills and excel at stream-lining processes, this role will be the perfect fit.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the company rewards program.
  • Assist with coordinating the recruitment process – reference checking, offer letter preparation.
  • Distribute new hire packages and ensure all documents have been completed.
  • Office/workstation set up for new hires.
  • Liaise with external IT provider to set up computers.
  • Manage inventory of computers and accessories.
  • Disable departing employees in all systems.
  • Manage and track safety trainings – new bookings, renewals, cancellations.
  • Upload training certificates to Salus.
  • Assist the People & Culture team with other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Human Resources Administrative Assistant position (experience in the construction industry an asset)
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 and various apps
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees and management at all levels of the company.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • A high-level of professionalism, diplomacy, and tact
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Strong customer service focus and attention to detail
  • Outgoing, personable attitude
