To follow this link find out more about our departmentThe Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS) prosecutes persons charged with Criminal Code, Youth Criminal Justice Act, and provincial statute offences. The ACPS promotes safe communities by vigorously prosecuting cases involving serious and violent crime and working with individuals and organizations in the community to identify and implement improved and alternative approaches to the administration of criminal justice. In addition, the ACPS develops criminal law policy for the province and supports criminal law consultation with other levels of government. Information regarding the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS) can be found by visiting our website at:Role ResponsibilitiesThe Edmonton Prosecutions office is looking for a Administrative Coordinator.Reporting to the Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day reconciliation and maintenance of pay & benefits and financial administration, telecommunications and overall administrative support for Edmonton Prosecutions, which is comprised of approximately 100 Crown Prosecutors and 90 support staff.Your Key responsibilities will include:
- Day to day reconciliation and maintenance of pay and benefits administration.
- Coordination of the financial transactions and records of the office.
- Acting as a reviewer for the Edmonton Prosecutions budget.
- Coordination of the supplies and services for the office.
- Maintaining the administrative records for all staff; and
- Providing support to the Manager in other various office administrative tasks.
As the ideal candidate you will possess:
- 3-5 years progressively responsible related experience
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deal with stress effectively.
- Highly developed problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, efficiently and prioritize multiple projects.
- Accounting aptitude

QualificationsHigh school diploma and three years of related administrative experience within Human Resources, financial and or legal related offices.Equivalencies considered:Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:
- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education
Required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook;
- Previous administrative Working experience with human resources, financial, and administrative processes and procedures is required.
Assets
- Experience Use of 1GX or internal centralized systems to manage and access key resources, streamline workflows, and collaborate across teams..
- Experience working in a legal environment is preferred
