Your organizational and prioritization skills will assist you in meeting deadlines while producing quality work that will lead to your success.Role ResponsibilitiesOur administrative positions provide support to a wide range of operations within the GOA. The responsibilities assigned to a role may be focused on one type of work or may be a combination from various administrative support categories in the following areas:Program Support – As a first point of contact for the public on the phone, via email or in person, program support roles explain the requirements, processes and benefits of a program. Managing highly sensitive office correspondence, including emails, fax, paper and electronic documents. Manages records, maintains scheduling calendars, and orders office supplies.Office and Administrative Support – Office and administrative support drafts and formats office correspondence, including emails, manages records, maintains manager calendars, and orders office supplies, among other duties.Financial Support – Supports finance teams to ensure completion of financial documents in the areas of expenditures, reconciliation and petty cash, as well as reviewing transactions for accuracy and completeness.Call Centre Support – This position provides information and handles public inquiries regarding major government announcements, public consultation initiatives or major incidents such as a natural disaster or pandemic.Legal Support – Ensures completion and compliance within applicable legislation, regulation and policy, and provides a range of services support to Crown prosecutors, Court of King’s Bench, criminal justice and corrections systems and staff.Social Services Support – Positions provide support to front-line services for programs that support seniors, children/youth, and vulnerable populations. These positions are responsible for responding to inquiries from stakeholders and the public, redirecting them to the appropriate government offices and resources, managing forms and records with highly sensitive information in accordance with FOIP, and reviewing various financial transactions.Qualifications
- Administrative Support 3 – High School diploma plus a minimum of one year of related administrative experience
- Administrative Support 4 – High School diploma plus a minimum of two years of related administrative experience
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Minimum of one year of work experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
