Job description: Job DescriptionAltaGas – Financial Analyst, Trucking OperationsAltaGas is looking for a sharp, proactive Financial Analyst to join our Midstream Finance team, supporting the Trucking Operations. This is a great opportunity for someone earlier in their career who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and improving processes.You’ll play a key role in month-end reporting, analyzing operational and capital data, and helping build out cleaner, more effective reporting tools. If you’re strong in Excel and Power Query, love organizing and optimizing workflows, and want to work closely with operations to make a real impact—this role is for you.What You’ll Do:Prepare and enter accounting entriesAnalyze operational earningsProvide monthly variance reports and account reconciliationsPrepare and review invoices and manage accounts receivableMaintain and validate master data in operational systemsPartner with operations managers to identify improvements and support cost trackingDeliver ad hoc financial analysis and reportingContinuously seek ways to improve accuracy and efficiency in reportingWhat You’ll Bring:2–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, Oil & Gas preferredCPA designation or working toward one is an assetAdvanced Excel and Power Query skills; JD Edwards and Power BI experience is a plusStrong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilityAbility to work independently and meet tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills and a collaborative, business-partner mindsetInterest in learning the trucking business and understanding operationsWhy Join Us:Be part of a collaborative team driving operational excellenceWork closely with both finance and operations, building strong relationships and learning how the business runs from multiple anglesYou’ll be part of a company that’s not only performing—but transformingFor Canadian hires: AltaGas hires personnel on the basis of job-related qualifications.
