Job description: Job DescriptionAltaGas – Sr. Administrative AssistantWe’re looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant to support the VP of Enterprise Risk & Assurance and the VP of Tax. Both teams are cross-border, with members based in Calgary and Washington, D.C. This role is perfect for someone who’s always one step ahead—organized, resourceful, and ready to handle anything. You’ll manage executive schedules, financial processes, audit coordination, and team operations with precision and professionalism. If you thrive on efficiency, love solving problems, and can juggle competing priorities with ease, we’d love to meet you.What You’ll Do:Manage the VP’s calendar, travel, expenses, and correspondenceLiaise with executives, board members, and their assistantsHandle confidential communications, documents, and meeting minutesSend formal audit communications on behalf of the VP ER&A and Audit LeadershipCoordinate internal and external stakeholder meetingsOversee onboarding/offboarding of team members and consultantsTrack team milestones, events, and performance metricsProvide occasional admin support to other Finance teamsGenerate purchase requisitions and purchase ordersReview invoices for coding accuracy and route for approvalSupport budget reporting and invoice reconciliationLiaise across departments to support C-SOX compliance and reporting timelinesAssist with internal control documentation and data collectionCoordinate with internal controls vendors and external auditorsSupport internal controls updates and presentationsPlan and execute team offsites, training, and strategic sessionsManage venue selection, budgeting, contracts, logistics, travel, accommodations, and tech needsPrepare agendas and itinerariesWhat You’ll Bring:Minimum 5 years of experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced, professional environmentMinimum 3 years of experience using Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)Advanced Microsoft 365 skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across teamsExceptionally proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organizedStrong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and sound judgmentExcellent verbal and written communication, formatting, and proofing skillsHigh level of professionalism, discretion, and customer service mindsetExperience with enterprise systems such as SAP or Oracle is preferredStrong knowledge of accounting, auditing, and internal controls; familiarity with C-SOX/SOX is an assetWhy Join Us?At AltaGas, you’ll contribute to meaningful work in a collaborative, high-performance culture that values integrity and innovation.You’ll be supported with development opportunities, and the chance to work on high-impact projects that align with AltaGas’ long-term strategyYou’ll be part of a company that’s not only performing—but transformingWe offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $89,750 per year with eligibility for our STI at 10%, commensurate with experience, education, and skills.
