As a progressive and vibrant healthcare organization, we are committed to being an innovative center of excellence in community hospital care.Job DescriptionWorking with the Redevelopment Office Team, other Halton Healthcare staff and external consultants, the Equipment & Asset Management Analyst will be responsible for coordinating a wide range of planning activities and projects related to the planning, selection, procurement and redeployment of equipment and furniture for the Georgetown Hospital Redevelopment Project, the implementation of the corporate Master Plan (2025) and ongoing operational needs at all Halton Healthcare sites. This will include review, analysis and evaluation of drawings and specifications and obtaining input and feedback through focus groups and individual consultation. This position will also support the ongoing development and implementation of a robust Asset Management System to effectively manage physical assets at Halton Healthcare. The Analyst will provide analytical and statistical support and small project management to the Equipment & Asset Management team, and may be assigned to assist in coordinating minor projects relating to the design, procurement, delivery, installation and acceptance of equipment and/or furniture. This position reports to the Manager, Equipment & Asset Management and provides vacation coverage for the Equipment & Furniture Maintenance Coordinator.Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Work with key stakeholder groups (e.g. Biomedical Engineering, Finance, Quality and Risk Management, etc) to establish, implement and maintain an integrated management approach to effectively manage equipment and furniture assets at all Halton Healthcare sites; conducting site visits and audits when necessary; obtaining stakeholder input and feedback through focus groups and individual consultation.
- Maintain an information system to support equipment procurement, service contract decision making, preventative maintenance reporting, lifecycle replacement planning and warranty claims.
- Maintain an updated inventory of existing furniture and equipment and ensure the asset database is kept up to date with new acquisitions, transfers between sites and disposal of surplus assets.
- Maintain a corporate view of furniture and equipment assets and, when necessary and appropriate, coordinates transfers between sites, in accordance with the policy.
- Monitor data quality of Halton Healthcare’s Asset Management System
- Supports the development of asset management policies and procedures.
- Establishes and produces reports for distribution to Management on pertinent asset information that falls under their responsibility.
- Establishes record-keeping and reports on the status of activities.
- Participate in the Equipment & Asset Management Sub-Committee.
- Participates in internal and external committees/working groups as directed.
- Lead and coordinate, through multiple venues and media, communication between end-users, consultants and, if applicable, construction team, to ensure client and Hospital objectives are met throughout the equipment planning process.
- Maintain the established standardization of equipment (where appropriate), furniture and processes across all sites, in accordance with the policy.
- In collaboration with other members of the Redevelopment & Facilities team, ensure all equipment and asset management activities are well planned, coordinated and meet required standards.
- Ensure alignment of expectations between Halton Healthcare and procurement agency/agencies and/or vendors.
- Participate in the evaluation of furniture and equipment and ensure constant involvement of users & physicians. Maintain a consultative relationship with major stakeholders to ensure compatibility of new and existing equipment and systems (including, but not limited to ICT).
- In collaboration with users, construction teams (including architects/designers, etc), vendors, and colleagues on the Redevelopment Team, supports the planning, procurement, installation of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment in all Halton Healthcare Capital Projects.
- Supports the annual capital request and approval process.
- Provides reports to assist with the forecasting of capital needs and replacement strategies
- Participates in various hospital equipment planning committees and implements and prioritizes tasks relating to these committees.
- Working with a wide variety of user groups, consultants, and contractors to coordinate activities and identify gaps or issues that require attention and remediation.
- Planning and organizing site visits and user group meetings.
- Ensures that all documentation and records regarding FF&E for capital projects is maintained and up to date in accordance with Halton Healthcare policies and procedures
- Development and maintenance of tools and techniques for reporting and tracking.
- Development of correspondence, reports and presentations on a wide variety of topics suitable for internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- General administrative duties related to the management of contracts and external contractors or consultants.
- Participation in the preparation of internal and external reports.
- Travel across all three hospitals and satelite sites is required. Successful candidate must have their own vehicle.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Health/Life sciences, Engineering or Business Administration or recognized equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years related hospital experience required
- Experience with CMMS or other database/asset management system preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
- Redevelopment/Large project experience in the last 5 years, preferred.
- Must have experience and familiarity in reading specifications, equipment cut sheets, architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Experience in preparing and writing reports, specifications and RFP’s.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills both written and verbal
- Self-directed and able to work efficiently with minimal Supervision

- Well organized and efficient at multi-tasking and thrive in a fast paced environment
- Experience with understanding, monitoring and critically reviewing specifications and contracts
- Problem assessment and problem solving
