This is a business intelligence product for healthcare-related data. You will be part of an Agile development team, while working more broadly within the software quality assurance team. In this role, it will be particularly important to think about the data and environments to be used for testing, as well as integrations with our customers’ various systems.The role of Quality Assurance Analyst is to provide quality assurance and testing activities for our software development projects. As an active member of an Agile development team, you will also work as part of the Software Quality Assurance team to perform testing, writing and executing test cases. You will be responsible for the correct implementation of quality assurance standards, processes and procedures. This role is essential in the development and implementation of testing procedures.How will your contributions be showcased?Analyze, design, implement, run and maintain tests – manual and automated, on ETL, Data Warehouse, Client/Server and Web applications.Prepare data comparison procedures, review data conversions and perform data integrity checks.Collaborate with analysts and test team to resolve data anomalies.Analyze requirements to derive test cases from functional and technical requirements for complete test coverage of product/project deliverables.Execute test plans/scenarios, ensuring compliance with requirements.Work with the development team and Product Owner to ensure that requirements are complete and testable.Ensure quality on all environments.Attend daily Scrum meetings and Agile ceremonies to obtain QA findings and feedback at each stage of implementations.Provide test effort estimates for Sprint implementations at the sprint planning meeting or Backlog grooming.Execute different types of tests as required – Front-end Functional Test, Back-end Test, Non-regression Test, Exploratory Test, Smoke Test, Compatibility Test, Automated Test.Document and validate anomalies.Design, maintain and execute regression test plans.Contribute to the writing of technical guides.Proactively help improve the quality assurance process of our solutions.QualificationsWhat you will bring to LGI Healthcare Solutions to succeed in the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or DEC with relevant experience;
- Three or more years of experience in a similar role;
- Understanding of quality assurance concepts and principles, and ability to apply quality assurance and testing techniques;
- Experience working in an Agile, SCRUM environment;
- Good knowledge of databases;
- Knowledge of ETL data transformation processes;
- Experience in writing SQL queries, using SQL Server Management Studio or other software that interacts with a database, an asset;
- Experience with Xray, JIRA, Confluence, an asset;
- Basic knowledge of software or script development, an asset;
- Good analytical and synthesis skills;
- Ability to communicate and work as part of a team;
- Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly;
- Problem-solving skills;
- Strong interest in data analysis;
- This position must be bilingual as the candidate will be responsible for working with documentation in both French and English and communicating, orally and in writing, with both French-speaking and English-speaking partners/clients/suppliers/colleagues.
