Job description: Company DescriptionPart of Veolia Group, Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions brings together experienced professionals in pursuit of the same goal: to solve the toughest water, wastewater and process challenges around the globe. We’re always looking for passionate and creative people to help us in this mission!Job DescriptionApplications Engineers (AEs) are the first engineers our clients encounter. Alongside Sales and Process Engineering, you are responsible for developing water treatment solutions for clients facing complex purity requirements. Working with a team across time zones and continents, you own proposal development – from lead qualification, through system design and costing, to contract signature and handover to Engineering.
Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) is a worldwide leader in water treatment, recovery, and reuse. We design and supply a range of equipment and systems, from food and beverage applications, to municipal water, to microelectronics ultrapure water and heavy industrial wastewater treatment. Join Veolia in an Ecological Transformation, as we accelerate and expand existing environmental solutions while simultaneously creating the solutions of tomorrow. Ultrapure Water (UPW) is highly purified water used by our most specialized clients for semiconductor manufacturing or chemical production. These systems are custom engineered to meet the most stringent final water quality requirements, and each process is uniquely designed.
UPW Applications Engineers work in a large portfolio of equipment – which includes Ultrafiltration, Reverse Osmosis, UV destruct, Electrodeionization, Ion Exchange, and other related purification technologies. Leaning on your practical engineering experience in mass transfer, fluid dynamics and inorganic chemistry, you design and propose these systems. Working with Process Engineering you develop process flow diagrams and mass balances, equipment selection and layouts, and other engineering necessary to scope and price the equipment. Leading the rest of the proposal process, you establish a proposal schedule, align resources across engineering teams, work with fabricators and subvendors, evaluate technical details and manage change throughout the life of the proposal. You may work with other engineering disciplines to develop proposal documents outside the scope of the AEs (e.g. electrical design packages). Lastly, you create proposal documents that sell VWTS’s superior process designs and integrated technologies. At times, you assist Sales with consultations and presentations directly to customers.QualificationsMinimum requirements:
