Job description: Are you a CPA designated Senior Accountant or an experienced Senior Accountant with 5+ yrs of full cycle experience, ready to take that next step as an Assistant Controller?

If so, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss out on!As The Assistant Controller you will report directly to the Controller and have an opportunity to lead a team, manage the daily accounting activities and partner with the business on many different initiatives that include participating in continuous improvement of process and controls, budgeting and forecasting and operational excellence.Past working knowledge with GAAP and ASPE, WIP (work in progress) and % of completion will ensure you are set up for success in this new role!Advantages

Responsibilities
- Management of AP, AR
- Leading the month end close process
- Preparing the financial reporting packages
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist in the external audit process
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a senior accounting position within the construction or manufacturing space
CPA designation or working towards coupled with industry related experience
- Experience with WIP and % of completion required
- Working knowledge of GAAP and ASPE
- High attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Proficient user of Excel (pivots, look ups)
*This position is 5d/week in office and is best traveled by car (TTC is a bit of a hike off the main road)Summary
