We also offer educational support, profit sharing and participation in our recognition and annual salary review program.Opportunity SummaryReporting to the Director of Field Operations, as the Assistant Superintendent, you will collaborate on leading teams to execute and deliver quality projects on time and on budget. You will be partnering with the Senior Superintendent on the overall supervision, coordination, and scheduling of construction activities on a concrete tower project.Key Responsibilities

  • On-site supervision and coordination of trades.
  • Ensure project is constructed in compliance with drawings, specifications, schedule, and budget.
  • Partner with management team, including the Project Manager and subcontractors to maintain construction schedule and identify/resolve problems as necessary and in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop recovery strategies when project schedule or budgets are in jeopardy.
  • Review and update the construction schedule.
  • Provide leadership to peers ensuring all site staff are adhering to the company safety culture.
  • Maintain appropriate field documentation and organize weekly subcontractor meetings.

Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of previous supervisory and construction experience working on concrete residential, institutional, or commercial projects.
  • Experience with mass timber or structural steel aspects an asset.
  • Technical diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with Procore experience as an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
