Please see below to learn more about this great summer opportunity.As ATB’s next Credit Risk Analyst you will gain valuable experience in the financial industry by assisting with the preparation of key credit risk reports, analyzing credit data, and contributing to the monitoring of our credit portfolio. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn about credit risk management and contribute to the bank’s overall financial health.Accountabilities

  • Assist in the preparation of regular credit risk reports, including gathering and validating data, performing calculations, creating charts and graphs, and summarizing key findings.
  • Prepare high quality visualizations for a variety of audiences from peers to senior leaders.
  • Support the analysis of credit data, using SQL and/ or Python to analyze data from various sources to identify trends. This includes troubleshooting data anomalies and assisting peers in identifying and resolving data issues to ensure data integrity and accurate analysis.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and across other departments.

Skills, experience & requirementsRequirements for ATB 101:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, or statistics, or equivalent.
  • Prior relevant experience is a plus, including internships, co-op placements, or part-time jobs in finance, accounting, or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation and reporting tools, including SQL, Python and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is an asset.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate findings both verbally and in writing.
  • A proactive approach to work and a willingness to take on new challenges.
