If so, ATB might be right for you.As ATB’s next Portfolio Support Specialist Student, you will play a critical role in acting as a liaison between the Portfolio Loan Support team and the Sales teams. Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient execution and risk management to facilitate the needs of our clients. This role will have ownership of critical client information including data collection for population into credit risk tools (ie. AFC), disseminating documentation, managing maintenance of collateral, providing reporting oversight and managing the execution of funding requests. The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset, strong teamwork and collaboration skills, and financial analysis acumen to understand financial statements and forecasting.AccountabilitiesUtilize financial information to support analysis and administration of key support processes, including financial analysis and data input, margining calculations, trending analysis, financial covenant calculations and track remedies to completion.Review and maintenance of collateral documents by conducting periodic review to confirm collateral risk is sufficiently mitigated.Other tasks or projects related to the underwriting and credit quality oversight of our business banking client base.Skills, experience & requirementsBe passionate and motivated about pursuing a career in accounting and/or finance.Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with 3rd year standing OR postgraduate program.Must be willing to work onsite at least 3 days a week at a location either downtown Calgary or downtown Edmonton. The remainder of the week can be spent working from home.Have a strong sense of personal accountability. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and takes personal accountability to ensure that deliverables are of strong quality.Have a strong working knowledge of Excel and Google.Come with an analytical mind. Be confident to ask questions, seek information, dissect problems, and suggest innovative solutions.Be humble and confident. We encourage you to put your hand up and ask for help, when needed.
