Our team combines financial / accounting, commercial, technology and quantity surveying skills to form a targeted and bespoke assurance approach for our clients and their challenges and needs. As a result, our people get to work on some of the most exciting projects in the world.Who are you?You are an experienced Auditor/Accountant with 3 – 5 years post-graduate experience looking for the next step in your career.We are currently seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and energetic individual to join our specialist Cost Assurance team to look after our continuing growth and make the difference to both our business and our clients.Job DescriptionAs an Auditor/Accountant, you will be involved with:

  • Reviewing construction contractor systems, controls, and processes to provide an assessment on their ways of working, using intelligence from around the industry to build a view on best practice.
  • Analysis and understanding of complex construction contracts.
  • Perform actual cost audits on monthly invoices.
  • Supporting on Payroll Audits.
  • Reviewing financial systems and reporting on the contractors ERP.
  • Performing testing of data and information using smart techniques and tools such as data visualization and trend / pattern analysis – PowerBi/Tableau
  • Production of written findings reports that deliver key findings, recommendations and messages in a succinct and professional manner.
  • Fostering good quality working relationships with clients and those being reviewed built around trust and professionalism.
  • Engaging with the supply chain to take them on the journey of assurance and encourage collaboration at project/program level.

QualificationsPrevious experience or a sound and suitable understanding of the following will be a distinct advantage in applying for this role:

  • 3 – 5 years of Audit/Accounting experience
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
  • Holds or working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent (i.e., ACCA, CPA,CFA etc.)

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering service excellence to clients.
  • The ability to extract, interrogate and assess large data sets to problem solve and produce outputs that can be used in the decision-making process.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in fast-paced environment, and able to adapt and meet challenges as they develop during the delivery stage.
  • Assurance or audit – in a construction, commercial or accountancy setting
  • Assessment of accuracy and entitlement to cost.
  • Data analysis – ability to review and draw insights from large quantities of data in various formats – PowerBi/Tableau experience preferred
  • Supporting on report writing – communicating complex messages succinctly to maximize impact in written formats.
  • Experience of working in a team environment and handling a variable workload through peaks and troughs.
  • Presentation skills – be a confident speaker who can influence and engage with a multitude of stakeholders.
  • Professional Skepticism – Can challenge in a professional and constructive way to safeguard the completion of our services, maintaining independence and integrity, ensuring consistent quality.
