Regular Part-Time B* x2
*Part-time B commitment: 22.5 hours in a 2 week period
(Shifts: 6 or 12-hour days/nights, 7-days/week, may be subject to change)POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Flow & Scheduling, the Bed Allocator will act as a liaison between admitting and receiving parties, and being responsible for coordinating room utilization care requirementsREPORTS TO: Manager, Patient Flow & SchedulingDATE REQUIRED: As soon as possibleSALARY: $26.67 to $28.30 per hourQUALIFICATIONS:
– Minimum Grade 12 education
– One (1)-year Medical Office Administration certificateEXPERIENCE:
– Up to six months’ previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting
– Previous Meditech experience preferredABILITIES:
– Well-developed keyboarding/computer skills and experience using Meditech and Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
– Ability for self-direction and to work independently exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision
– Effective time management and organizational skills with an ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
– Demonstrated initiative, stewardship, and teamwork skills
– Demonstrated excellence in problem solving and critical thinking skills
– Excellent customer focus with demonstrated ability to work well with fellow staff, internal and external customers
– Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills
– Ability to work in an inter-professional environment
