Job description: Job DescriptionWere currently seeking a versatile Bookkeeper to join our client in the real estate sector. As the successful candidate, youll work out of Halifax, NS as part of a small, dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for an adaptable and positive individual with a go-getter work ethic.Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Journal entries
- Bank reconciliations
- Financial statement preparation
- Revenue reporting
- Tax returns
- Month-end and year-end
- Other bookkeeping/accounting support related duties as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Post secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, or business
- 5+ years of experience in a multi-faceted bookkeeping role(s)
- Prior experience in the real estate sector is an asset, but not required
- Efficiency, willingness to learn and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
- A positive attitude with effective communication skills
