Job description: Job Description:Our client in Calgary is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, with proficiency in Sage 50 and intermediate Excel skills. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting.Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Generate financial reports and analysis as needed
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ad-hoc duties as requested

Requirements:Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Sage 50
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Available to start immediately
