The Construction Solutions team in our North American Headquarters (Edmonton, AB) is currently seeking a critical thinking to help our construction teams adopt technology to be more effective and efficient. Through building strong relationships with stakeholders and data analysis, you will identify opportunities to improve awareness of software solutions through communication, documentation, and training as well as proposing system and process improvements. This role is for a 14-month, hourly contract term.Here’s how a Business Systems Analyst – Systems Trainer for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:Responsibilities
- Collaborates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design and develop curricula for an PCL’s construction project management solution
- Facilitate & deliver instructor-led training courses for an PCL’s construction project management solution
- Evaluates courses or programs and implements revisions to improve quality based on provided feedback
- Develop e-learning to support or replace existing instructor-led courses or programs Identifies changes to existing course material based on regular changes to software
- Researches and applies best practices and industry trends Trains project-specific team members when required
- Collaborates with team to ensure alignment with quarter’s priorities and initiatives
- Maintaining and/or editing knowledge base of software in authoring tool (ClickLearn) Preparing presentations to district Subject Matter Experts
- Provide consultative help to district Subject Matter Experts & end users
Qualifications
- 3 years of progressive experience in business analysis or related discipline with a focus in training delivery and/or facilitation in a corporate environment preferred.
- Ability to deliver an instructor-led course to a diverse group of participants with varying knowledge, experience, and backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to a high level of detail,
- Demonstrated effective time management to meet deadlines, ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new system/information and teach is an asset Demonstrated critical-thinking skills, ability to research and analyze information. Exceptional team player with strong customer service orientation.
- Experience designing and implementing new courses and or programs an asset. Exposure to the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) is an asset
- Willingness to work with established curriculum design standards.
- Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Microsoft Word) and other applicable systems.
