As Tax Manager, your primary focus will be geared towards tax compliance and provisions with some exposure to tax planning. You, along with your colleagues, will help maintain a collaborative atmosphere through effective teamwork and bring a positive attitude to the table when working on special projects, independently and as part of a team. The firm have an established tax group and a strong track record of growing their Manager’s to become future Partners with the firm.ABOUT THE POSITION
As part of the Canadian Tax Group, the following responsibilities can be expected:

  • Preparing and reviewing Canadian corporate tax returns predominantly in support of public company clients
  • Assist in complex tax planning engagements
  • Coordinate tax activities and develop relationships and connections with clients on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on tax changes and advise staff and clients as needed
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members on tax related matters
  • Other duties as assigned

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)
  • 5+ years of Canadian tax experience with a strong tax compliance background and knowledge of Canadian tax laws
  • Completion of the In-depth tax program is highly desirable
  • Experience working with public company clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Work and Excel
  • Focused attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

COMPENSATION

  • Base salary range: $100,000 – $130,000, experience dependent
  • Vacation: 4 Weeks
  • Extended medical and dental coverage
  • Fitness allowance
