Key responsibilities include:

• Managing month-end processes related to capital expenditures, asset retirements, entries, and reconciliations.
• Collaborating with operations teams to evaluate asset treatment and ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
• Engaging in forecasting and business planning, contributing insights that drive organizational success.
• Supporting IT-related project accounting, including navigating rules for asset capitalization of cloud and infrastructure projects.
• Acting as a translator between non-accounting professionals and finance to ensure clarity and compliance in decision-making.

• You are a designated CPA with extensive expertise gained after completing your certification.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) managing fixed and capital assets in both project and regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards, particularly as they apply to cloud computing and IT projects.
• Proficiency in tools like Oracle Fixed Assets and advanced Excel (e.g., pivot tables). Experience with Power BI is an asset.
• Proven ability to engage with project managers, IT teams, and other stakeholders to align operational and financial goals.
• Prior experience in a regulated environment is strongly preferred.

Bonus Points For:

• Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems.
• Strong analytical mindset with hands-on exposure to Big Data projects.
