The building also features a 4-storey wood framed building providing 53 rental units, located above a 4-level underground parking garage.The position offers a great opportunity for long-term employment and works a Monday to Friday schedule with the possibility of overtime-afternoon, evenings/weekend work.Responsibilities:

• Comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
• Understand industrial concrete forming, build concrete forms, and other structures
• Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills
• Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location
• Organization and site clean up as per site HSE standards

Requirements:

• Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
• Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
• Fall Protection and Confined Space is an asset
• Light equipment operating experience an asset
• Ability to coach, mentor and train apprentices
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
