Job description: CarpenterDawson City, YTWildstone is a self-performing general contractor that provides a wide range of construction services across the Territories and Western Canada. We have been active in Dawson for the past 8 years and have completed projects such as the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Men’s Shelter, the Sawmill, and upgrades to the Robert Service School.At present, Wildstone is working on three exciting projects in Dawson: the Tr’ondek Hwech’in Elders Centre, the Yukon Housing 34-unit apartment building and the new Dawson Recreation Centre.We are looking for Carpenters (apprentices, ticketed, non-ticketed) to join the team in the Dawson City area.Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of carpentry for new construction
• Oversee skilled labourers that are assigned to assist with any project work
• Ability to assess the quality of work and materials
• Ability to operate tools, machines, and other equipment
• May perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 1- 3 years technical and trades experience
• Commercial, residential, and industrial construction experience
• Exterior/cladding, concrete, framing, interior finishing experience an asset
• Understanding of modern construction practices and construction documents
• A commitment to working safely
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals and work in a team
• QA/QC
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Must have or be willing to obtain the following tickets: Fall protection, WHMIS 2015, Scissor lift, and Level 1 First Aid
