Job description: Job Title: Carpenter Journeyperson – Rossdale Water Treatment Plant – EdmontonEdmonton, AB CanadaPosition: Carpenter Journeyperson – Rossdale Water Treatment Plant – EdmontonProject Type: WaterProject Location: EdmontonSchedule: Monday to Friday – OT as per site needsAccommodations: Local OnlyTravel Details: Not AvailableGC: GrahamAllied Partner: Technical Workforce Inc.Reference Number: 28823We are currently recruiting for Journeyperson Carpenters to join the team at the Rossdale Water Treatment Plant in Edmonton!This position is in Edmonton, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.Shift is 5 days on 2 days off – could involve some SaturdaysAS A JOURNEYPERSON CARPENTER, YOU WILL:
- Build forms for concrete (Peri Forms)
- Cut, shape, and join
- Look for and fix deficiencies
- Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
- Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
- Studies blueprints for work planning
- Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
- Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
- Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
- General site upkeep
Requirements:
- Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Experience with PERI Formwork is an asset
- Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
- Fall Protection is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Satisfactory completion of Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
